Israeli forces carried out a new ground raid in Ain Al Zawan, intensifying violations of Syrian sovereignty.
Israeli forces carried out a new ground operation in the village of Ain Al Zawan, in the southern countryside of the Quneitra Governorate, the Syrian state news agency SANA reported on February 13.
The contingent consisted of six Israeli vehicles that advanced from the Western Tal Al Ahmar area toward the village, where they raided and searched a resident’s home.

Troops remain deployed in the surrounding area, and the reasons for the operation have not been disclosed. Previously, in the same Quneitra Governorate, Israeli forces raided the village of Saida Al Hanout, according to the same source.
These actions are part of a pattern of repeated violations of Syrian territorial sovereignty that have intensified since late 2015. Israeli ground operations in southern Syria continue to generate tensions in the border region.
Losses in Syrian Agriculture
A worrying fact is that over 90% of the population of Quneitra and Daraa depends on agriculture as their primary source of income. These agriculturally vital regions in southwestern Syria face a dire situation following the intensification of the Israeli occupation after the ouster of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
This military expansion includes leveling land and cutting down fruit trees belonging to residents of the affected villages. The invading forces have begun destroying fertile farmland, especially olive groves, in the Quneitra and Daraa areas.

This action has had a significant impact on local communities, as farmers are prevented from carrying out their usual work due to the presence of occupation patrols.
